This week I started delving into Xamarin which promises “Deliver native iOS, Android, and Windows apps using existing skills, teams, and code”.
As part of Burgundy’s impending release, I wanted to see how Xamarin worked because the promise of “code reuse” across the various MMOS .. Multiple Mobile Operating Systems … is very intriguing to me. Since I have done some iOS development and a smattering of Android, I thought if Xamarin can help bring the DRY Principle to my mobile development efforts for Burgundy then heck yeah, I’m interested in that.
While this demo is very short, it does show a few features of Xamarin such as AutoLayout and wiring up button events. Hope you enjoy!
To grab the code for this demo (Mac required) – you can download it from my github repo.
